Who are the Dogon?

As a Dogon initiate, I have learned immensely from the indigenous ways of living, culture, language, and mentality. Many of these cultures today do not have nearly the amount of physical and mental illness that we see in Western society.

Today the Dogon live in many countries in West Africa. They are seen as the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) wisdom-keepers who, during the times of invasion, migrated so that their culture and spirituality could be kept pure. They are one of the most studied cultures in the world and are often known among academics for their knowledge of astronomy and their link to the Sirius star.

Amazingly, the ancient initiations of the pharaohs and priests have been preserved. In the 1990’s a Dogon High Priest, Master Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig, received permissions from the temples and elders to bring the initiation to the West, which is when Kebtah (The Earth Center) was born.
